Hills Science, Iams, and Eukanuba "Prescribed" diets are full of by products which include dead, diseased dying or disabled animals as well as those animals euthanized at shelters, road kill, etc. There are many alternatives for example, for cats with Urinary tract/stone formation, Wellness is a wonderful healthy alternative and is LESS expensive than the Hills Science diet. Remember, veterinary medicine is big business too. I would add that vets are notorious for using so called veterinary diets.
